What is Nose Thread Lifting?

A sharper nose, no needle of filler.

Nose thread lifting uses 4–10 fine PDO threads inserted along the nasal bridge and tip to physically sharpen the profile. Unlike filler which adds volume, threads create structural definition without changing nose width — ideal for patients who want refinement without "puffy" results. At JRYN Seomyeon, we use Korean PDO and premium Mint threads chosen by nose anatomy.

How it works

The science ,
simplified.

Understanding the mechanism helps you set realistic expectations and choose the right brand for your goals.

01

Nose anatomy assessment

Dr. Lee evaluates your nose proportion, bridge height, tip projection, and skin thickness. Threads work best for slight bridge enhancement and tip lifting — not for major reshaping.

02

Local anesthesia

Lidocaine injection at the columella (base of nose) and dorsum. Numbing takes effect in 5 minutes. Some patients prefer light sedation for comfort.

03

Thread placement

PDO threads (3–6) inserted along the bridge for height, Mint or Aptos threads at the tip for definition. Layered placement creates structure.

04

Mild swelling + healing

Mild swelling for 2–3 days, occasional bruising at insertion points. Avoid pressure on nose for 2 weeks (no glasses, no nose-rubbing). Final result at 4 weeks; lasts 12–18 months.

Frequently asked

Nose Thread Lift
questions.

How much does nose thread lifting cost in Busan?
At JRYN Seomyeon: Nose threads ₩400,000–600,000 (PDO), ₩700,000–900,000 (Mint), ₩1,200,000+ (Aptos). Most cases need 4–6 threads for desired result.
How long do nose threads last?
Threads dissolve in 6–8 months (PDO) to 18–24 months (Aptos). The collagen formed lasts longer — total effect 12–24 months. Annual maintenance preserves results.
How is nose threads different from nose filler?
Threads provide structure and lift (no volume). Filler adds volume (no lift). For patients with thicker skin or who don't want filler's spreading effect, threads are preferable. Often combined.
Is nose thread lifting safe?
Yes — but requires expert technique due to the nose's vascular anatomy. Dr. Lee uses cannula approach where possible, avoids danger zones. JRYN protocol minimizes vascular risks.
Will my nose look "pulled" or unnatural?
No — proper placement creates subtle definition, not exaggerated change. Threads work with your existing anatomy to enhance, not transform. Realistic improvement, not dramatic.
What's the recovery time?
2–3 days mild swelling. Avoid pressure (glasses, sleeping on side) for 2 weeks. Most patients socialize within 3 days; full result at 4 weeks once swelling resolves.
Can nose threads correct a deviated nose?
Slightly — threads can shift soft tissue alignment. For true skeletal deviation, surgical rhinoplasty is needed. Dr. Lee evaluates and provides honest expectations.
Can nose threads make my nose smaller?
No — threads add structure and lift, they don't reduce. For nose reduction, surgical rhinoplasty is required. Threads enhance proportion and definition, not size reduction.
Can I combine nose threads with nose filler?
Yes — common combination. Threads provide bridge structure and tip lift; filler adds nuanced volume. Together they create comprehensive non-surgical nose enhancement.
Do you offer English-speaking consultations for nose threads?
Yes. Dr. Lee speaks fluent English. Send photos (front, side, 3/4 angle) via WhatsApp or LINE. We'll assess whether threads, filler, or combination is best for your nose.
