Tighter, smoother,
more defined —
every layer.
Thermage FLX is the 4th-generation monopolar radiofrequency device from Solta Medical. By heating collagen across all skin layers simultaneously, it produces dramatic skin tightening — particularly effective for the jawline, eye area, and overall facial contour.
At a glance.
The single most effective treatment for true skin tightening.
Thermage FLX is the fourth-generation flagship from Solta Medical (the original creator of the Thermage platform). Using monopolar radiofrequency at controlled depth (3–4.3mm), it heats collagen fibers throughout the entire treated layer — causing immediate contraction and triggering long-term collagen rebuilding. The new AccuREP technology automatically calibrates energy delivery based on skin impedance for unprecedented safety and consistency. Pricing from ₩890,000 (Eye Thermage 225 shots) to ₩2,690,000 (Face 900 shots).
The science
,
simplified.
Understanding the mechanism helps you set realistic expectations and compare with alternatives.
Bulk heating, not focal heating
Unlike HIFU (which heats microscopic spots), Thermage heats large columns of tissue uniformly. This produces full-thickness collagen contraction — a 'shrink-wrap' effect across the entire treated area.
Controlled radiofrequency delivery
Each Thermage tip emits monopolar RF energy. The 4th-gen FLX has rotating tip technology, vibration cooling, and AccuREP smart energy that adjusts to your skin impedance in real-time.
Immediate collagen contraction
Existing collagen fibers contract immediately when heated to 60–70°C. You'll see and feel some tightening as you leave the clinic — this is the 'instant' Thermage effect.
Long-term collagen rebuilding
Heated collagen also triggers fibroblast activity. New collagen forms over 3–6 months, with continued improvement up to 1 year. Final result lasts 12–24 months — among the longest-lasting non-surgical treatments.

Good candidates &
who should wait.
Every treatment has ideal candidates and situations where it's not recommended. Safety first — always.
Good candidates
- Mild-to-moderate skin laxity (age 35–65)
- Loose skin needing tightening more than lifting
- Patients with thicker skin (responds well to RF)
- Post-weight-loss skin laxity
- Eye area concerns (crow's feet, eyelid laxity)
- Combination with HIFU for comprehensive rejuvenation
Not ideal for
- Severe skin laxity (surgery may be more effective)
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Pacemakers or implantable cardiac devices
- Active skin infection in treatment area
- Metal implants in face
- Recent collagen-stimulating treatments (wait 4 weeks)
What happens after.
We believe in informed patients. Here's what to expect after treatment, and the full safety profile.

- Drink extra water for 1 week (collagen rebuilding needs hydration)
- Initial tightening visible same day; full result at 3 months
Possible side effects
- Mild redness lasting 1–4 hours
- Warm sensation during treatment (managed with vibration cooling)
- Slight tenderness when pressing treated area (1–2 days)
- Temporary mild swelling (24 hours)
- Bruising in thin-skinned areas (3–5 days)
- Small superficial blistering (very rare with proper technique)
- Numbness or tingling (resolves in 2–4 weeks)
